The Information We Collect from Donors:
Our donors voluntarily provide the personal information stored in our database. For example, if you choose to make a donation by clicking the “donate” button on our website, NAMI WC will collect (or such other website or venue will collect on our behalf) personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, postal address, and payment information.
Any requests for the donation to remain anonymous will be honored. You may elect to not be acknowledged publicly for your donation by name and/or amount donated.
Donations made through NAMI Washington County’s website are processed through a third-party payment processor – the information provided is only used to process the donation. If an individual chooses to make a recurring donation, then required payment information will be stored to facilitate future donations; otherwise, payment information will not be stored or used for any other purpose.
Unless stated below under “How We May Share your Information,” NAMI Washington County does not sell, rent, share, trade or otherwise make available the names and personal information of our donors with any other organization or entity. Additionally, we do not send emails to our donors on behalf of other organizations or entities.
All donations will be acknowledged. You should receive a thank you by mail or email, along with any required IRS documentation.

How We Protect the Information We Collect:
All donation transactions involving electronic payment are handled by Payment Card Industry (PCI)- compliant vendors. PCI refers to the technical and operational standards that businesses must follow to ensure that credit card data provided by cardholders is protected.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100 percent secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Browsers and Internet Security
You can tell if you are visiting a secure area within a web site by looking at the lock or key symbol in your browser address window. If the address of the page begins with “https:// “, it is secure. Occasionally, the page the data is entered on may not be secure, but submitting the information activates a secure connection and thus your data is submitted securely.
Choose and Opt-Out:
We provide several opportunities for you to control the amount of personally identifiable information you share with us and the use of that information:
Each piece of mail or e-mail you receive from us will state the reason you are receiving the message. It will also contain a message about how you can opt-out or unsubscribe if you wish to no longer receive mailings from NAMI Washington County. This message is usually at the bottom of the document.
You should contact NAMI Washington County directly if you wish to be removed from any email or postal mailing lists or are unable to access any of the means explained under “Self Service” above. You may also respond to the return address on the information you received, as it may have come from the NAMI National.
